About MasterworX Music Therapy
MasterworX Music Therapy served its first client on August 31, 2015, and has been working in Calgary, Okotoks, and the surrounding area since. We work with a wide variety of groups, families and individuals of all ages and abilities.
We strive to use music and musical experiences to create positive change in our clients. Programs are designed to the specific needs and preferences of those we work with to ensure that they are getting the most benefit from the program. We work hard to provide reliable programming, regular communication, participate in continuing education and improve our skills to ensure our services are of the highest quality.
About Hilary
Hilary MacAulay is the owner of MasterworX Music Therapy, a Neurologic Music Therapist, and a Certified Music Therapist (MTA). She has a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Acadia University, and completed her clinical internship in Calgary, working with a wide variety of ages and abilities. She is currently working towards her Master of Counselling Psychology at Athabasca University. She has been working in Calgary for the past 9 years, serving a wide variety of clients as well as teaching early childhood music classes. She is an approved music therapy supervisor and has been trained as a teacher for both Music Together and Sprouting Melodies.
Originally from Cape Breton, she now resides in Calgary. When not running music therapy sessions or talking about music therapy, she enjoys reading, playing trumpet in a community band, and spending time with her dog.
